Talking about myself is a struggle, I would much rather talk about books (obviously) but I will do my best.
In the beginning
Even as a kid i was book obsessed
My older sister is fifteen months older than me. She was in Kindergarten and they taught her how to read. So she came home and taught me. My dad was reading some Dr. Seuss and I kept correcting him. He figured I had just memorized the book and pulled out another to read in peace. I continued to correct him. He went and got the newspaper at this point incredulous that I knew the letters. I read him the newspaper. I was three and half.
There are books… Everywhere
I am pretty confident that i have spent more money on books and things made to hold books than probably anything else. I had to stuff them where ever there was a flat surface. I will never be a minimalist.
You’re not supposed to have favorites
I haven’t met many books I haven’t liked. I have grown to lean more towards fantasy and Sci-fi. I get really into the worldbuilding and character development and those genres seem to have my style of things. Also there are usually dragons involved.
We had a discussion once, if you were a teacher, what would be the one thing that your students could bring up that would derail your entire lesson plan and set you off on a rant. It wasn’t really a discussion it was more an elaborate way for my little sister to point out I was ridiculous when it came to dragon standards. The sad thing is, she is probably 100% accurate. I would stop eveything to make sure everyone knows that a DRAGON has SIX limbs.
