In depth analysis
So the idea is to go into those long and involved series. I’m going to talk about the authors, the journeys, and whatever other kind of media is involved (e.g. Lord of the Rings with the books, movies, shows and maybe games depending on what I want to throw up here and what I can get through).
things to cover
This is mostly for me and my completionist brain but also for the people that are interested in a franchise but don’t necessarily want to pour time into something they might not love. I feel compelled to go 100% into everything so I will do the legwork for you. Unfortunately, you will have to dig through my opinions along the way. Mostly I am going to cover:
- Books involved in the series and how they might interact (those web like series like Discworld, Redwall, and other things that might have more than one order to read through them).
- Comic or graphic novel versions of the books and how they compare
- Brief overviews of film versions, shows or otherwise (in-depth looks at these in the Book to Movie section)
- Any games or other types of media that might be involved (things like Witcher and Shadow of Mordor)
A lot of authors put a lot of time and effort into their work or they are just interesting people who deserve some attention and love. I will link author pages or other pertinent info depending on how this develops. This is all new for me and is subject to change as I learn more and find out what works for me and what ends up being helpful.
Projects like these are going to require more research and are going to take more time. As of now I am going to start with Tamora Pierce’s Emelan series and/or maybe Redwall.
Series and projects will probably go through longer periods to post and complete. The nature of it is going to need more research and in my experience, rabbit holes run deep.
This is a new project and as habits and flow become more and more obvious as I move forward the overall rhythm might change a bit. Thanks!
